Hamerly was not created in a startup office or a Silicon Valley coffee shop. It started with a real problem. We, Bianca Müller and Elaine Holl, worked on several projects ourselves and experienced firsthand how chaotic communication on construction sites can be. Tasks were sent through WhatsApp. Photos lived in private chats. Documentation was incomplete. And when mistakes happened, it suddenly mattered who said what and when. We quickly realized how easily a construction project can end up in a legal dispute simply because important information was lost or never documented properly. That experience led us to start Hamerly.
